This is how you can help protect your catalytic converter from theft:
Contact your vehicle dealership – Enquire about fitting an aftermarket product approved by the vehicle manufacturer and tested to Sold Secure Gold standard to prevent the removal of your catalytic converter. The dealership can advise on the best way to secure the converter based on your vehicle’s make and model.
If you cannot park in a garage or secure compound – Park your vehicle in a well-lit and overlooked location. Try to position it so that the converter is harder to access for thieves.
Consider using a marking or etching system to identify your converter – This will make it more difficult for thieves to sell or dispose of the stolen converter.
Fit a tilt sensor alarm – This alarm will alert you if a thief attempts to jack up your vehicle to steal the converter.
